The administration, including Dr. Bennett, Miss Frank, Miss Diaz, and Miss Medrano, played a crucial role in helping me realign my focus and stay on track. Graduating now holds more meaning for me, knowing I have a strong support system behind me." ![]() Ana “When my friend passed, I began to feel uncomfortable at school. I began to feel unmotivated. I started skipping daily, then completely gave up on school.”
When a close friend recommended Worthington as a fresh start, Ana decided to give it a try and talked to a counselor. While her transition took a little getting used to, Ana was particularly comforted by the teacher advisory model at Worthington, which keeps students connected to a given teacher – “my trusted adult” as Aana calls it – to help them along their journey.
![]() Yocelyn "“I just wanted to be known,” she admits. “I made friends that weren’t good role models and tried being like them to fit in.”
At Worthington, she found an entirely different environment. “Worthington… noticed me,” she emphasizes. “I wouldn’t have been able to get through school. Worthington has been great, they motivated me. I am so grateful for every teacher that has told me I can do it and has made me believe in myself.” ![]() Cedria:"At orientation, I remember thinking, 'I'm not going to be able to do this.' But I've changed. The people here are different. They influence me to better myself. I needed that push. I came from nothing to something in a matter of months. If I can do it, you can do it."
